Umaid Bhawan Palace

LOCATION

Built in 1943 by architect H V Lancaster, Umaid Bhawan Palace is a magnificent example of one of the best royal places in Rajsthan. Even H V Lancaster planned the royal palace to equal the beauty and splendour of Viceroy House or the Rashtrpati Bhawan in Delhi built by Lutyens. A part of the Umaid Bhawan Palace has been converted into a luxurious hotel and a museum. The palace is located about five kilometres from the airport and six kilometres from the railway station.

The 98-room hotel is well equipped with all the modern facilities. The rooms at the palace have been divided into Maharaja Suite, Maharani Suite, Palace Chamber, Palace Room and Regal Suite. Rooms and Suites at the hotel are elegantly designed and have attached bathrooms. The facilities include cable TV, direct dial telephone, fireplace, safe deposit box, mini bars, wakeup alarm, laundry, travel desk service, baby-sitting and currency exchange.
